I have just watched the first football (= soccer) game played by the French team in the 2006 World Cup. It's official : we suck. 0-0 against Switzerland. I shouted and drunk some beers so I guess I cannot make a decent post in Absolut Noise.

However, there are so many Swedish artists I want to mention here, that I still decided to write a bit about Stina Nordenstam. Cause she is definitely one of the best female artist in Scandinavia. And in the world as well. But you probably know that already, right ? I mean, I was wondering about the necessity to write a post about her, cause she is kind of well known already. Then, I realized that a blog dedicated to Swedish rock music without Stina Nordenstam would look a bit like tomato juice without a straw.

So, for those of you who do not know her already, enjoy her soft dark music. She used to be compared to Bjork. I think it is not accurate, even if, like the Icelander, she seems to be a bit weird according to the "how to behave in a regular way" handbook. For instance, there are not a lot of pictures of her. She has no website neither. I even think she does not play live, but I might be wrong. I wish to make an interview with her, but, as she looks shy, I think I will never have the chance to do it. Nevertheless, in my dreams, I wish she read this post and just send me an email to tell me that she is ok. I guess she will not but, anyway, dreams are still legal.

Comme beaucoup d'entre vous, j'ai vu le premier match de l'équipe de France au Mondial. C'est officiel : nous sommes une nouvelle fois ridicules. Pour protester, je me refuse à écrire ici un billet décent.

Malgré tout, il y a tellement d'artistes suédois dont je souhaite parler que je ne vais pas perdre de temps. Stina Nordenstam, ça vous dit quelquechose? Sans doute. Si elle ne passera jamais sur NRJ (ah, les radios libres...), sa réputation dépasse l'essentiel des artistes mentionnés sur ce blog. Normal : elle s'impose comme l'une des artistes majeures de la scène rock mondiale. A cause de cette renommée, je me suis brièvement interrogé sur l'opportunité de publier un billet à son sujet. Et puis, j'ai réfléchi et j'ai convenu qu'un blog consacré au rock suédois sans Stina Nordenstam, c'est un peu comme un jus de tomate sans paille.

Alors, si vous ne connaissez pas sa musique sombre et lancinante, ouvrez grand vos oreilles. On compare souvent Stina à Bjork. Ce rapprochement me semble un peu facile, même si elle est sans doute aussi givrée que l'Islandaise. Vicitime du syndrôme JD Salinger, il existe peu de photos d'elle. Elle ne dispose d'aucun site Internet. Et je crois même qu'elle ne donne pas de concerts (à vérifier cependant). J'aimerais vraiment l'interviewer pour Absolut Noise, mais je ne me fais pas d'illusion sur mes chances de réussite. Parfois j'imagine qu'elle est une de mes lectrices. Que je reçois un mail de sa part. Autant en profiter : rêver est encore légal.
