ABSOLUT NOISE 2007 QUIZZ (PART 2)

AbsNoise 2007 Quizz, part two ! Same questions than the part 1 but with different artists. So you will see here that Ane Brun and Nina Kinert are nearly twin sisters, that the next Nina Kinert's record is gonna be released in March and be called Pets and friends, that even some Swedish artists are disappointed by the latest Kent record, and that you can smoke indoor in Berlin.

No need to look for an mp3, there is none. But if you're curious you might find some stuff that you did not know and that you're gonna like, thanks to the links... (NB : no translation in French this time).

My guests today : Nina Kinert, Ane Brun, Conny Nimmersjö (from bob hund), Timo Raisanen, Erik Laquist (from Sibiria) and Detektivbyran.

Nina Kinert

1/
The new friends I´ve made!

Every single trip I made with Ane (Brun), especially New York, Holland and Iceland

Dancing in summer-rain with all my friends in a rooftop-bar!

2/ Don't be a stranger
3/ Don't be a stranger - Frutti Di Mare
4/ Bat for lashes - Fur & gold
5/ Can't think of any...
6/ HBO's Big love (TV show), Lacrimosa, a lovely short film by Alexandre Dahlström, Harold & Maude, The Neverending story and Say anything will always be favourites, no matter what year it is !!!

7/I´m going to release my album Pets & Friends, in March and hopefully do gigs all over the world! I´m also gonna get rich and learn some difficult sport, like tennis or something...

Ane Brun
1/
A good rest from touring

The recordings of the new album

My stay in Iceland.

2/ Don’t be a stranger

3/ Don’t be a stranger -
Frutti di mare
4/ Alison Krauss & Robert Plant Raising sand
5/Can’t come up with any particular one.
6/ The movie Babel came out in 2006, but I saw it this year. It’s fantastic!

7/ Release of new album, touring.

Conny Nimmersjö from bob hund
1/
I visited Berlin twice, and was able to smoke a lot of cigarrettes indoors.
I was given the opportunity to take part in a recording session in "the big room by the wall" in Hansa Studios, Berlin.
I had a long, wonderful, vacation out on the country with my family after finishing the work with my first solo record.
2/ Per Egland and Säkert!
3/ Ulf Stureson - I Overkligheten
4/ The Fall - This Nation's Saving Grace
5/ The Stooges comebackrecord. You have to blame the producer, Steve Albini, for letting out such a terrible record.
6/ Book, Novel: Karl-Ove Knausgård - En tid för allt (Norsteds). It'd better be translated to English, elsewise it's a big loss for mankind.
7/ Taking over all the bad radiostations in Sweden - there's a lot of them - and play The Fall, PIL and Einstürtzende Neubauten to the people all the time.

Timo Raisanen

1/
I released my third album Love will turn you around
Made some money and
Got my girl pregnant.
2/ Those dancing days.
3/ Johnossi - Johnossi.
4/ The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth.
5/ I didn't like the latest one from Kent much.
6/ I did enjoy Ratatouille.
7/ Hopefully I won't start working on another album, but to be perfectly honest that's probably what's going to happen. My plans are to do some touring and to spend time with the family.

Erik from Vapnet and Sibiria
1/
Best: fell in love.
After that: moving in to my new apartment.
And after that: having my best summer for years.
2/ Autisterna, if you can call them newcomers. And Säkert!, which actually is Hello Saferide's Annika Norlin singing in Swedish.
3/ Säkert!'s album. By far.
4/ Radiohead - In Rainbows. Love it. I have also listened a lot to the Velvet Underground's third album (the self titled) a lot recently.
5/ There are a lot of awful music out there, but I can't think of any artist which I had great expectations on who let me down. But I am a little, only a little, disappointed on Rilo Kiley's new album. I like it, but I thought it would be even better.
6/ I have watched nearly every episode of Curb your enthusiasm. I also watched a lot of Six feet under and followed with great delight the danish drama Föreställningar on the Swedish public service television. Book : Jazz age tales, a collection of short stories by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
7/ Try to stay healthy, be nice to the people I love and hopefully write some new great songs.

Detektivbyrån
1/
Playing at Roskilde Festival.

Doing our first gig with Detektivbyrån in our hometown, Karlstad.

Started working on our full-length album.

2/ Ida Maria. Don’t know if she’s a newcomer, and she is actually Norwegian but she’s living in Sweden. She’s a friendly character.

3/ Soilwork
Sworn to a great divide
4/ Bruce Springsteen - Magic
5/ Bloc Party – A weekend in the city
6/ Movie:
Harry Potter and the Fenix Order. Book: Harry Potter and the deathly hallows.
7/ Releasing our first full-length album. We are working on it now, and it’s coming together great. We also hope to play some shows.
