Loney Dear - Under a silent sea (live) (mp3)

Do you know many artists who manage to create a coherent and powerful universe ? Well, Emil Svanängen, aka Loney, Dear, yes, he can.

His next record will be called Dear John. It will be released in winter/spring 2009. The song Under a silent sea I put here (kind of exclusive, yeah, baby !) will be in this album. A sweet, soft and sad song. Emil told me the lyrics were "about being under the sea, probably as a picture of having to deal with a lot of trouble, but kind of being in the eye of the storm. The syncopated sort-o-technorhythm is the lead of the "instrumental" part".

He also added that the recorded version was "pretty different" from this live version. I guess we just have to wait and see then. And listen to it.

Vous connaissez beaucoup d'artistes capables créer un univers puissant et cohérent ? Eh bien, Emil Svanängen, alias Loney, Dear, lui, il peut le faire.

Son prochain disque s'appellera Dear John. Il sortira en hiver/printemps 2009. La chanson Under a silent sea que je vous propose ici (ouais c'est une exclu, mec!) figurera sur l'album. Un morceau doux, un brin menaçant. Selon Emil lui-même, les paroles parlent "d'être sous la mer, comme lorsque l'on connait des soucis, comme lorsque l'on se trouve aux centres des ennuis". Le rythme syncopé style techno mène la partie "instrumentale"".

Il a ajouté que la version enregistrée "différait sensiblement" de cette version live. Attendons donc. Et écoutons.
